I wonder how this statement should be interpreted. By presenting the info to Canada Chrome, does this extra layer mean that Cliffs will not have as much access to the information?
I also like the subsequent comments: "Despite a heated takeover battle between KWG Resources and Cliffs Natural Resources for control of Spider Resources and the Big Daddy chrome deposit, KWG CEO Frank Smeenk said it hasn’t hurt their relationship with Cliffs in proceeding with the rail engineering work. 'They were always very professional.' "
That reassures me, if the statement can be taken at face value. Cliffs cannot be very happy with Smeenk/KWG, as a result of the developments earlier in the year. But if both parties understand that each other were just "doing what they had to do" then each company will be better for it, and the long-term relationship will be better for everyone.
