I still dont see the advantage to staking mineral claims if your intention is to build a road or railway. The one thing might be the right to clear timber and brush and move soil, as you would for both exploring a claim and preparing for a road.
The western line might be for a winter road, since this crosses flat and probably swampy ground, which will freeze up into a good solid roadbed.
If this is the intention we might see some bulk samples come out this winter.
