Facebook is a social networking site, and is used around the world by many millions of people. The largest number of subscribers are young people, however, many 'boomers' are now using it.

I went out to my Facebook account (which I don't use extensively) and signed up as a 'FAN' of KWG's. I find KWG's presence on Facebook intriguing. It was created on June 19th.

How it will be used by KWG is my big question. Agoracom is also a social networking site but with a specific focus on the retail investor. The big difference is that I don't think KWG has bought Agoracom's services. So any questions that the retail investor may have of Frank Smeenk and his BOD will not be forwarded from Agoracom to KWG.

Out of interest sake, I decided to send an email via the email link on the Facebook page to KWG with regards to the Toronto Resource Investment Conference in September asking whether KWG would have a 'presence' at the conference. I mentioned 'Facebook' in my email since the email address is also found on the KWG website. The response may be interesting. I will post when I get it.

There is some interesting info on KWG's Facebook, which helps one understanding a little bit of how Frank Smeenk may be thinking. For example, there is a link to the Ontario Northland Railway, and an article on the recent startup at International Ferro of a second South African furnance.

Clearly, KWG Resources is no longer thinking diamonds. They seem to be intending to have a big splash in the chrome world.
