Folks,
Just posted this message below on SH. Post it here for info. Hope someone on this side could find who's in error, me got confused or ICG got it wrong.
--------------------
There seems to be some discrepancy on the ozs mined by Teck during the period 1961 to 1967 as reported by the NR of 19 April 2016 and that reported by ICG webpage for #4 Plug. The ounces were extracted above ~ 200m vertical via Mine #3.
- NR: page 4 says " approx 50,000ozs of gold were recovered by Teck from number 4 Plug".
- Website: around the middle of the page for #4 Plug, it says "145,136 tonnes grading 5.21 gpt from working above 215m level". The math: 145,136 x 5.21/31g/oz = 24,392 ozs (say 25,000 oz).
That a factor of 2 difference for the ozs, and about $25M difference assuming $1000/oz (simpler math).
Is it me that got confused or ICG made a mistake in reporting? Bet that it was 25k ozs extracted> If that was the case then it would be better for us (more gold is still there in the Plug).
