The company is exploring for nickel deposits on its Langmuir property near Timmins, Ontario; for nickel-gold-copper on its Cleaver and Douglas properties; and for molybdenum and rare earth elements at recently acquired Desrosiers property.
"whaler,
If it's as you claimed yesterday and Canaccord liked the news, then what is one suppose to conclude about todays inactivity resulting in down 2.5 cents or -10%?
Based on the premise that investors buy when they like something and sell whan they don't like something........Indeed yesterday it was Canaccord liking the news. I would conclude that Canaccord got their fill yesterday after the news, obviously buying what they required for their fill by paying the ask and raising the price as a result. Therefore driving the stock up 13% in doing so. ISM had traded at .20-.23 in the week earlier, why buy now and pay a much higher percentage for the stock post news? Canaccord came in at market and bought.
Was yesterday's news fuel for the fire? Looking at today, it would appear not. However I might also consider today's lack of trading activity differently and conclude that either investors are not about to buy stock in ISM until they see where this action takes them, or there simply is no new buying interest by investors whether they are new, past, or present. Today's trading looks to be just like the trading prior to the news ( as per the historical info below)
What explanation do you have for Cannacord liking the news but then not purchasing any UMJ shares either yesterday or today.
TIA."
Assuming you are correct, I have no explanation as to why Canaccord has not or did not buy any UMJ yesterday or today. Are investors supposed to be buying UMJ stock as a result of the latest news/developments wrt the proposed new slate for the BOD or for that matter, buying up ISM stock?
As a bit of a TA guy, I made an observation on yesterday's ISM trading, mentally noting that Canaccord has not been in the ISM market for quite some time and that daily trading volumes have not been over 100K in a long time either. 6 of the days 7 buys were Canaccord and they bought all but 500 of the shares moved that day.
