Sounds like they have selected a great candidate for the role as CEO at LBE

I like that he is so well-founded in actual operations. Quite a list of experience and achievement. Sounds like he will bring Liberty to the next stages in short order.

Here's a snippet of the summary.

Chris Stewart's Summary

The majority of my career has been in the contracting business where I learned the various parts of the mining business. Safety is of paramount importance to me and my experience has shown me that the most productive work places are also the safest workplaces.

I do have aspirations of moving back into a VP’s role or more senior position within a mining company. My ultimate career goal is to become the President/CEO of a mining company.

Most recently I was the Vice President of Operations for Lake Shore Gold where I was responsible for getting both the Mine and Mill up and running in order to fast track our move into becoming a gold producer. During my time at Lake Shore we built a highly motivated, focused operations team that achieved every target set out for us. We delivered safely, on time and under budget at both the Mine and the Mill.

I have no problems with dealing with a Board of Directors, delivering presentations, developing budgets and forecasts as well as tracking and reporting on key performance indicators. I have also been involved with looking at mergers and acquisitions and I am quite comfortable with generating cash flow models and financial numbers. Working with senior financial people is not a problem for me.

Having the ability to deal with both senior management personnel as well as the miners underground has been a definite asset to me. I have spent my time working underground as a miner and I understand what it takes to do a miners job. This has made me a more effective person in the roles I am now taking on. I have the ability to build strong teams throughout an organization that can deliver the results needed to make a company successful.

Troubleshooting issues and solving problems do not intimidate me. I like to challenge the status quo and I hold people to high standards. Providing the coaching and mentoring when required to assist people in meeting these high standards is not a problem for me either."
