(AMM) Vale Inco workers set to strike at Sudbury

Union members at Vale Inco Ltd.'s nickel operations in Sudbury, Ontario, will almost certainly reject a final contract offer from the company and could go on strike Monday, a United Steelworkers union leader told AMM.

"It's over. Bargaining has finished," USW Ontario and Atlantic Canada director Wayne Fraser said. "We were looking to maintain the status quo, but that wasn't good enough for Vale."

Fraser said he expects union members to "overwhelmingly reject"...
