I think there is the Kidd Mine and then there are or is the Kidd Met side of the operations. May have some confusion there.
Google Kidd some more. It was mentioned on more than one occasion how either strikes or this latest Montcalm incident would affect them

The Langmuir Property is located about 35 km south of Xstrata's Kidd Creek Metallurgical site in Timmins, Ontario. The Kidd Creek site has a nickel circuit for concentrating ore from Xstrata's Montcalm nickel mine located over 90 km west of Timmins."
