I have gone through some short bouts of investigating TA and I need to take a sustained look. I am a mathie at heart so it is all intriguing to me.

I hear you on the caveats surrounding small mining companies, and the many external factors around any company.

I have had quite a bit of success in swing trading in the past, and when I see a company trading within enough of a band, it is very tempting. A repeating pattern is a nice way to make some money without relying on longterm growth. I did very well with Teck by swing trading.

I am hoping TA will help me to make better informed decisions and uncover opportunities I may now be missing.
