The company is exploring for nickel deposits on its Langmuir property near Timmins, Ontario; for nickel-gold-copper on its Cleaver and Douglas properties; and for molybdenum and rare earth elements at recently acquired Desrosiers property.
"an ISM, YTD cumulative drill report? I am trying to get a feel for the percentage of land drilled relative to the ISM property; and, the cumulative percentage of tested nickel based on all the sites drilled."
No sir. I would love to be able to build one. I have heard there ahve been over 250 drillholes. A poster named Wilbur on SH was going to work on something similar and we never heard of it again.
This brings up the point about the latest VTEM survey. Most companies use a VTEM and it's results to determine where to drill and investigate later. I believe we are seeing a VTEM done after the fact to confirm and expand on presently drilled finds. It was mentioned that it will also open up possibilities for future exploration.
"The VTEM survey represents a significant step towards the development of the Langmuir project," said Randy Miller, President of the Corporation. "The survey will provide valuable information as to the mineral potential of the property and will enable the Corporation to fully develop the potential of the property."
Look at what the modeling software did for the bodies discovered in the GCR claims when re-visiting the "initial discovery" zone.
Now when discussing cumulative drilling relative to total land as a percentage, things could get pretty complicated. Relative to some of the neighbors, we are said to be sitting on a relatively small foot print. Are we sitting on the tip of an iceberg or not? Do we share geology across the claims of neighboring lands? We know we sit on past producing mines Langmuir 1 and 2. We know there is plenty of untouched land. Also we know there are areas where they did not go deep either?
It would be nice to produce such a map and or cumulative table. You can bet Kian sits on one. We know that despite having new unexplored properties like Cleaver and Douglas, they remain focused on Langmuir. How about Langmuir North or even into the Lutha?
In the end it will be all about tonnage.
Lastly you have likely read this blurb off the site.
"Explored Potential
Even though production has occurred and a number of test holes have been drilled, significant portions of the 864 hectares of the claims have yet to be tested. Historically, even those tests did not include assays for the platinum group elements, which are now known to be present. Even more interesting, what testing and extraction that did occur was relatively near the surface (generally no deeper than 75 meters, with only one going to the depth of 450 meters. As noted, deposits of this area are classified as Kambalda-type (See Footnote 1 above). That experience, combined with nearby recoveries in the Timmins district, indicates recoveries could go as deep as over 3,000 meters.
Apart from the locations previously mined or physically tested, several geophysical anomalies have been located from geophysical work carried out recently on the properties. The expected nickel target size for this type of disseminated nickel sulphide body is in the order of 1-1.5 million tons grading 1.5 -2.5% nickel and 3-6 grams per ton platinum group elements. Massive sulphides grade 12% nickel; disseminated sulphides grading possibly as high as 4.5% nickel, present a very attractive exploration target. There is sufficient exploration potential on the property to cover several million-ton targets."
