IMPACT Silver Corp. ("IMPACT") is pleased to announce it has completed the purchase of the 200-tonne-per-day Veta Grande processing plant in the Zacatecas Silver District of Mexico. Under terms of a comprehensive agreement, IMPACT has been carrying out due diligence work on the Veta Grande Project since 2006 and making bi-annual payments to the Plant vendor (see IMPACT news release dated September 28, 2006). The completion of the purchase of the plant resulted in a final payment of US$170,000 and 100,000 shares. Prior to the completion of the purchase of the plant, it was operated by the vendor as a toll mill processing minerals for small scale miners for a fee. Plans are to upgrade the plant and use it to increase IMPACT's presence in the Zacatecas Silver District. IMPACT is exploring opportunities with other companies in the District who own mineral concessions with in-ground mineral resources and/or historic surface mine dumps that can be processed at the Veta Grande plant on a joint venture or toll milling basis. IMPACT also intends to process historic surface mine dumps from its own concessions in the District and has been carrying out studies to evaluate some of these dumps. Zacatecas is one of the largest historic silver districts in the world with past production of over one billion ounces. It is located 500 kilometers northwest of Mexico City. Infrastructure is very good throughout the District with paved road networks, electric power and a trained work force. George Gorzynski, P. Eng., a Qualified Person under the meaning of Canadian National Instrument 43-101 and Vice President, Exploration and a Director of IMPACT, is responsible for the technical content of this news release.
