But what happens to the silicon nanopowder once the reaction is over? Is it still silicon at least or has the reaction created a new product? Can we recycle this powder like we recycle lithium inside a used battery?

What can we do next with this silicon pouch?

Is it toxic for the environment? And, is the water contaminated after the reaction?
