Message: Re: HPQ in Q4 (reposted as question for agoracom - oops)

Hi Duff,

Thank for posting your questions on Agoracom,

My replies to your question are as follow:

Question 1:

“Forever curious, I am writing today to see if you can hint at what we can look forward to in Q4.“

You are aware that curiosity killed the cat….

You will understand that because of regulatory obligations, my answers will not be to the satisfaction of all, but I will do my best.

Question 2:

 “More European partner news?”

Yes, there will be more to come, but I am sorry, there is really nothing more to say.  Just understand that discussions with European can be longer than with North American, but they are also longer-term players ….

Question 3:

“Government funding development?  (Those papers on the minister's desk must be getting dusty)”

Yes, there will be something coming in Q4, just don’t get me started about working with Government bureaucrats …  Just to give you guys an idea of the insane situations, most of which I have no control over, I have had to deal with over the last 18 months…

Just during the last few weeks, as our file is now ready to be presented… I had to deal with the fact that the minister in charge of our file is also responsible for the Bombardier file…. Guess what happened to our file a few weeks ago (more dust). Then there were strong rumors that our minister would be moved during the government reshuffle… Once again, the decision process was slow down (more dust).

Sometimes I think they make it deliberately slow to discourage us, but I have not intent on giving up, and I know that we have a good file…

But the simple truth is that the unique nature of our project makes it hard for the Government to figure where we fit, are we a tech project, a green project, a manufacturing or a mining project…. Once that was resolved, we had to deal with how to make a junior corporation with no revenues fit in a program, design for large companies with revenues…. Etc…

We have overcome all these issues, so now we just have to wait for final approval….

Question 4:

Gen1 final report from PYR which will include the final Gen1 high purity testing results?

Yes, it’s coming, but there will be nothing new regarding purity results, and by that I mean don’t expect anything outside of what we have announced to date on the subject.  There will be a lot of new pertinent information regarding the impurities removal capacity of the process and these results are crucial as they validate the truly inventive and the uniqueness of the Purevap process.  All pertinent information required for national patent phase stating soon.

Question 5:

Anything gold related? (not expecting Beauce news till 2018 but thought I'd ask)

I have nothing more to add to Patrick comments...

Question 6:

“any more news to do with Gen2 in Q4?  (I realize with the operating time and testing protocol it will likely be 2018 before we get actual results from Gen2 samples but thought I'd ask)

Yes, there will be, come on this will be just like when we started with the Gen 1 in Q1 – Q2 2016…. Remember that Gen 2 is a continuation of the work of the Gen 1, so we have a better idea of what we are looking at doing then what we did then….

Question 6, a-b and c:

“do you share the same optimism as Peter that the Purevap patent application is approvable?  Or will this need to be redone and resubmitted?  Probably need that IP and patent secured for any takeover offers.

A) Of course I share his optimism; to be honest I am surprised by the level of negative attention given to a primary report that has no bearing on the actual national phase…. We have studied the subject with our patent expert and feel very comfortable about our positions…

B) As Peter stated: “It would not be wise for us to publicly disclose our patent application strategy (and there is always a strategy), so regretfully I will not go into the details of why and how we will proceed, but I can tell you that we have read the challenges and we are not concerned.  The challenges did not open our eyes to anything that would have us change our mind.  Remember, if we don’t think we will succeed we can’t afford to proceed.”

C) From what I have learned about the solar industry, when we will be finished, our results will speak loud enough for a takeover offer….

Now let me put my comment above in perspective, I do not have a trader view of the word, (AKA I NEED TO DOUBLE MY MONEY IN 10 MINUTES) so when I talk about takeover potential I am not talking about the immediate short-term or even mid-term…. I have a very long-term vision for this project...
