Good question - fortunately not entirely unanswerable.

The company had a nice run quite a while back as a result of the T11 discovery and also some nice initial numbers out of Amphitheater, since then they have remained in a mode whereby they are far more focused on defining the "big picture" for the purposes of presentation to the majors than on SP development for the market.

Additionally they have been approached many times by more promotionally minded North American institutional investors, but to date have chosen not to pursue those avenues, as there has been little or no need. They have money in the bank and an investor base willing to exercise their warrants if need be (or so I am told).

The hiccup on the market front is that the retail sector does NOT tend to rely on their own assessment of companies; they tend to rely on the assessments done by analysts and newsletter writers (in reality - promoters, at least to some extent) and the odd time a broker or someone like me, who they trust to do the due diligence for them. What this means to the stock on the market, is that it moves on small volume when small groups of investors happen to change their sentiment or when the market or tax season or ?? happens to drive their decision making process.

The company isn't driving their business on this short term share price hiccup; it is entirely focused on the true goal - the proving of sufficient value "in the ground" to sell the company for a more than equitable $$ amount.

Of late, the junior gold market has also NOT necessarily followed the commodities lead; their of course the odd exception, but as a generalization, the market sector is not that buoyant and a stock like GL without a large retail following and without any active market based promotion is not going to be a market leader (in the short run).

Having said all that, I fully believe that with the analyst visits and major mining company visits that have been generated due to Scott and Kieran's late summer / early fall trips, we will see an impact and it may even come in the form of an offer!
