Drilling about to restart at La Fortuna, 1st resource calc being worked on
Hey nodrog, good to see you over here. I know what you mean about a junior being as quiet as GL is. As you well know, I am staunch supporter of what the company has going, but anyone looking for a promotional campaign to trade on is catching a sail on the wrong ship.
The company tends to run it's informational engine more like a major than a junior and that makes it frustrating for many investors used to the juniors. They don't drill 7-10 holes, then assay for gold/silver only and then publish the numbers; they run an entire program, assay for EVERYTHING, check assay where needed (separate lab) and then still only put out news as they believe they can best bring the picture together - which not everyone agrees with as a strategy.
The reality is that as long as they have the goods, we have little to worry about; the gold won't go bad in the ground, the samples don't spoil in the box and the numbers don't change between assay and release.
These guys have VERY strong personal positions in the company and have continued to bring in solid numbers and maintain a strong fiscal status. Over the past 2 years, while they have been working La Fortuna, the insider positions in GL have risen SUBSTANTIALLY and that's usually a good sign, especially when it is not being done just to keep the company afloat.
Salut,
Leigh McBain
