This has absolutely nothing to do with AUM or anything directly involving PM"s etc.
Just me blowing off steam!!
Just experienced the way technology is "speeding"? up the everyday marketplace, lol.
A few months ago, I purchased a new printer/copier from a reputable company. (Company and model number available if anyone wants to learn from my error.)
Last week I tried to purchase a new ink cartridge and had to go online to make my purchase.(no local suppliers)
The telephone listing took me to somewhere in INDIA.
I placed my order and then tried to give them my home address for receiving.
Their programme would not accept the info, so they connected me to a suppliers subsidiary office in New Brunswick.
They "jimmyrigged" the programme to accept my address and gave me a tracking number.
Delivery was set for Tuesday of this week and they gave me a link to track my purchase.
So far, so good.
Tuesday - No delivery
Wed - No delivery
Thurs - Notice on the shippers tracking website - incorrect address, please contact.
After several minutes, a new delivery date was agreed for next Monday. (address stays the same and I had to verbally issue directions for driver. He is not allowed to carry a cellphone so if he has trouble, guess what? No delivery and back to square one. Call India!
In the meantime, the supplier has already charged me for the cost of this exercise.
I called New Brunswick to register a complaint
Guess What? They do not accept incoming calls.
The evolution and advanced progression of the market place as it happens.
"We live in interesting times"
Good Luck to all!
