The precious metals will be going much higher short term. One of the reasons why I think this will happen is that today, while gold and silver are consolidating, the Central Fund of Canada A shares keep on rising and rising.

A month ago CEF had a 10% negative premium, which can only mean that the stock had been heavily shorted. Today those short the Fund are clearly covering their short positions. As if they know that precious metals are going much higher.

Let this give us more confidence to remain long.
