The alternate is that gold is being trumped up as the (temporary) 'safe haven' investment.

If by chance there is some headway over the week-end (Putin is facing his angry 'Oligarchs') and if the posturing is softened, ... and Ms. Yellin pops up again next week at the FOMC ... and JPM decides to use that extra gold it has removed from the ETFs and Ukraine and wherever (leveraged 100 times) ... we could be facing another big smash IF they can pull it off ... as the 'safe haven' is no longer integral in the eyes of the media.

On the other hand we may have to wait until next month to get a better handle on 'things'.

Whatever the case, you can be most assured that those controlling the levers of the markets will know well before we do ... and that the 'trickle down' effect for those who have controlled such stocks as this one will be in play well before we can be.
