Not sure what to make of this covering as the volume traded doesn't even remotely support this outcome, of course the same can be said for when the shorts were recorded, this also didn't make sense. It must somehow be related to some cross market action with AMEX in the US (maybe shorted on AMEX with shares borrowed on TSX so covered on AMEX & borrow returned in TO, this would be a new one for me)) but no one seems to be able to provide a reasonable explanation that I have talked too. In any case the shorts are back to about where they were with the share price much lower. They must have grabbed some of those Van Eck shares sold or Gagnon shares sold and are late reporting the cover which does happen.
