Lockhart and Evans made comments today that dramatically impacted markets. Why are they allowed to do this? I'm surprised more people aren't calling for a review of Fed official conduct and accountability if necessary.

Fed officials appear to be confusing the markets and I don't know why they are allowed to do so.
