SENTIENT CEO ANDREW PULLAR TO JOIN GOLDEN MINERALS BOARD

Golden Minerals Company has appointed Andrew Pullar, chief executive officer and a director of the Sentient Group, to serve on the company's board of directors effective July 1, 2013. Mr. Pullar has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry including previous senior investment management positions with Sentient and other fund managers and investment funds, as well as mining engineering and production experience at De Beers and Gold Fields in South Africa. Sentient is the company's largest stockholder holding approximately 19.9 per cent of the company's outstanding common stock.
