Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
Who is getting that benefit today? They have pretty well succeeded haven't THEY? We are all so demoralized (the ultimate objective) that not even GWR is talking about 'buying the dips' here. Huh. That must mean we are getting very close to an 'accident'. The MSM is working so hard on the bearish BS that thye're liable to spin off into orbit. As I look at the BNN a flash across the screen boldly announces that the Canadian PM miners 'model' has now been been 'broken'. Wait a minute though, who is buying all those cheap shares?
When Dennis Gartman said that he'd be surprised if gold didn't open up over $1650 Tuesday we should all have known the fix was in.. along with all the other usual indicators of course, such as the takedown signals from silver. Has anyone noticed the toned down rhetoric of some of the staunch gold bugs such as Sinclair and Rule? They talk of 'hedge funds' instead of the Fed. etc. Huh. I suspect some of them have been delivered a warning because not even Buffet can play with those guys... and they thank him for his previous 'silver contributions'. I think the 'fear' out there is reaching new proportions in the circles of power and we are seeing the 'go for broke' bluff of the fiat oligarchy.
As for the Chinese (and others) sucking up all the gold and silver they can get their hands on (see deliveries out of Kong Kong, U.S. exports etc.), creative deals to suppress 'face' price must be elaborate... although it is a fact that the spot price is far hiigher than the fiat price now in other world markets. Gee, I wonder what happened to Cypress gold? (same as Libyan and MF Global?) Who's next? When will the U.S. declare ownership of the gold held by them for other soverign nations?
Well, we are all fatigued, worn out, talked out and demoralized. We have all discussed such tid bits as above for years now. We are sick of the pro gold 'rhetoric'. We are near surrender. Our gold bug battalions are reduced to a few foot soldiers. Somewhat like the prospectors that had to carry a ton of supplies up the steep and hazardous Chilkoot trail in the Kondike/yukon gold rush (too steep for pack animals) we who remain have carried a heavy burden. The gold is there, same as in 1898, just in a different place and form. Who said it would be 'easy'? Few remain. I'm holding my 'smaller' grubstake just for the hell of it... out of sheer obstinance... and it ain't a lottry ticket. I do hold a lottery ticket though on something else that has better odds.
