Candidly, I don't know whether Sprott has sold their position. According to Karen W (below), they still owned it on Dec 31, 2012. Perhaps they sold the position in the early part of 2013....once again, I don't know. However, I do know that advocate, John Embry still owns his sizeable position.
If Sprott sold, I would be a little disappointed. However, there can be many reasons for a sale, not the least of which is a wave of Sprott fund investor liquidations in this horrid market. None of us, including Priggy know why it was sold.
Bottom line---I'm maintaining my position regardless of what Sprott Fund does with theirs.

Are you aware that Sprott sold their AUMN position?
As of 31 Dec 12 (they already made their year-end 13F filing), Sprott held over 562k shares of Golden. I don’t know how “Priggly” would know anything further than filings – indeed he doesn’t mention his ‘sources’ -- and I believe whoever that is is purely trying to manipulate the stock. If I’m not mistaken, I believe he/she said the same thing over a year ago, and it was incorrect.
