Just imagine what a crashing of the paper market does to the algos. The people who use them just can't get their feet under them trading these markets, which is just what the central planners want. "Stay away, it's too crazy to even attempt to make money here". It's more than fear, it's psychotic technical action. The only good thing i see it that things are needing to be more and more psychotic almost on a daily basis in order to keep the lid on.
