That's a fair point, but turn the table around--who should be feeling greater pressure going forward, a large short entity who has overextended their welcome, or current, patient shareholders who will gain additional momentum as other new buyers enter the stock?
Unless we get a collapse in the precious metal prices (doubtful), this 4+ million short position will be feeling greater and greater heat when the psychology of the sector turns, and/or AUMN is able to prove to the market that production will be increasing quarter/quarter to the point whereby it doubles on an annual basis beginning in Q3 '13 (2mm Ag-eq. oz., and then nearly doubles again by Q4 '14 (3.5-4mm Ag-eq. oz.).
And, should we get a significant rally in gold/silver as predicted by Sinclair, Turk, Sprott, et al., then this insanely-undervalued stock would even soar without internal fundamental improvement.
