Sorry to protest a bit, but how easy it is to be a victim? Very easy.

If you, as the CEO/CFO of an explorer or junior miner, have a bit of blood in your veins, you look outside the circle of loan sharks and look for alternatives. Go to venture capital companies, roam the market, create new vehicles together with other exploreres, you name it. Or you wait and sit still until times improve. But at least protect the value of the company, i.e. the shareholder value, as if it is your own money.

But instead, most surrender to the hedgefund connected loan sharks, because it is so much easier and the BOD will approve their salaries anyway.
