Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
The thought that the lows were in, and a rally would quickly follow - that was the talk not too long ago, as I recall.
Last night, I got the feeling that something like this was going to happen today, I should have posted it, just to try to stop it! LOL! My predictions are rarely right, but I need to go public with them in order for them to be wrong.
I figured a better than expected job number was coming, and that the gold folk would run for cover, helped along with some planned shorting by the usual suspects. (Still waiting for that big expose and scandal on JPM regarding silver, seems we're a couple of months late on that!!)
Any chance Romney had, was blown and washed away by Sandy. Gave the Pres the perfect stage, and, so far, he hasn't missed the opportunity. I was thinking the race was a toss up about a week or ten days ago, now, I really think it's 80% sure that O will be back. O may be better for precious metals prices, but I wanted Romney to have a shot at this economy. Don't mind either guy, but O disappointed me when, in my eyes, he's acted just like any other politician the last four years, maybe more likeable (to the majority of people), but first and foremost, a politician.
If you listened to Rick Rule's latest on KWN, you see how he was preparing people for a drop not only below 1,700, but down to $1,600, which he indicates would be fine. I'm not quite so sure Rick is being totally honest there, but he may feel that type of correction is health-restoring, especially after the repeated efforts to bust $1,800 have failed.
Then again, you can listen to Egon Von G. and you can prepare for armeggedon (I know some of you already have)!! That guy sounds as if he's tortured and tormented as he speaks - he's fun to listen to, but I think he goes too far (I hope). By the way, he's sure we're doomed regardless of whether it's O or R (I hate to say it, but I more or less agree with him, although his doomed is much worse than my doomed).
I'm off to Pinehurst, NC, for three rounds middle of next week, weather permitting (never been, looks great on TV and the internet), then to Philly for a wedding on the weekend (heard something about a possible noreaster next week??). Will try to keep up with you guys, though.
