Personally I'm very impressed with how gold/silver has performed today in the face of repeated aggressive and high volime attacks while the US dollar is actually ending the week on the weak side. The downside volume started at 9am this morning and then picked up again at 11am throught to 11:50 am with intermitant good volume rallies. It looked like the attacks maybe had failed for about 20 minutes and then the aggressive cartel selling volume increased at about 12:10 noon time and actually was higher right through to the Crimex close when it briefly slowed quite a bit before selling picked up even more again with a peak around 1:50pm and a 1752 print.

My optimism is because noramally this kind of volume and aggressive attack would have gotten at least a $30-$50 down day for gold and crashed the price for days. There is a real possibility that this $1750 support and so far refusal to give under a huge selling surge may yield a failed cartel crashing effort with a significant rally starting next week and given the weak dollar the last couple of days this may provide a signal.

If gold/silver holds here and HUI rallies into the close then my optimism increases for a move higher next week. Don't forget that there has been pressure now for a week since $1795 print on Oct 5th and they have thrown a huge amount of effort at crashing the price lower with today maybe the most effort expended and still we bend but hold, at least so far. I am encourgaed by this action.
