One of the major problems I have with this is the damage it does to investor confidence in this sector. That something like this is possible, greatly impairs confidence and keeps investors away, suppressing share prices. The impact is longer term.

I suspect many investors were flushed out in a panic this morning and some may never come back to this sector. That is more than unfortunate.
