Gold put in a pretty interesting performance for an options expiry day taking out the wall at 1600 and going well beyond to test the 1620-25 level a few times today. There will be some options traders on the short side none too happy today with the fall of 1600.

Silver was strong early but has really had a hard time around this 27.50 area. Some entity is putting in some major action to sit on silver still. I note that silver closed almost exactly at yesterdays closing price and started to follow yesterdays path slightly down almost exactly on top of yesterday chart line, let's hope we don't get some kind of reversal as day closes and that 27.50 holds.
