Sinbob,
I appreciate you raising the level of this discussion by touching some nerves and I appreciate your last post, which I believe is a very positive way to translate these issues into constructive action - and that is what we desperately need. I think this is exactly the kind of discussion Mr. Sprott would hope to foster in order to move beyond complacency and paralysis in the retail investor ranks. We have been led like sheep to the slaughter and need to start yelling out the windows "we aren't going to take it any more". Having said that, I think the post that got GWR fired up was a little bit of a shotgun approach. Personally, I think it was appropriate and airing a laundry list of "dirty laundry" possibilities. I didn't read into it any specific malice, only that everything is suspect and it is about damn time Golden management and BOD is challenged. Why should it take a shareholder uprising and unexplainable sustained plunge in share value for management to communicate on the elephant in the room? Have they all been in a drunken stupor celebrating since "acquiring" ECU, or do they just not care about their shareholders being wiped out? Now, I hope neither is the case, but in this environment I sure think they should be making some effort to express frustration or, heaven forbid, a little outrage by now. Isn't it just a little odd that people like me can lose over $50K in just the last year (on top of similar losses with ECU) of very hard earned money being invested in what "due diligence" metrics deemed a great buy opportunity and there has been nary a peep from Golden Management? You would think they would spend a few bucks to have the PR guy spouting a story line at the very least. Yet we shareholders should just continue to "stay the course", be polite, and buy more, with no questions asked? GWR, you claim to have considerable skin in the game. Well, if that's the case I find your taking offense and seemingly legalistic interpretation of Sinbobs posts rather odd also. You do have some valid points, but your defensiveness on technicality seems out of place under the circumstances. I have respected all of your contributions to this forum up to this point but I must say something is incongruent about these last few. Bottom line - If Golden management interests are aligned with their shareholders they have been doing SQUAT to show it (my opinion) and I hope all shareholders reading this board will do whatever is in their capacity to help encourage them to address shareholder concerns and why we should continue to keep the faith in future prospects. Does this company really have the goods we've been hoodwinked to believe, or does any appreciation of share value really boil down to the status of some used mining equipment in transient from Argentina as Caseyc suggested a couple months ago. BTW, I thought the status of that was pretty vague in the earnings report.
