Wednesday's trading was a real masterpiece--trading as high as $5.70 (+.45) before closing at $4.93 (-.32)--that despite gold/silver and most miners stabilizing.

Either we are dealing with a short determined to protect his portion of a 3.65 million "official" short position desperately trying to extinguish any upward momentum, or the "credit" goes to some ignorant shareholder who dumped a large block at "market."

The after-market sale of 84,500 shares at $4.93 lends confusion because we cannot tell whether that transaction occurred at 16:41:24 as listed, or it was merely a late posting which occurred earlier during market hours. Perhaps today's activity will shed some light on the situation. If we bounce back sharply, it may point to a long seller.

One thing we do know is that the AMEX market makers are corrupt and will take advantage of both buyers and sellers whenever a "market" order is submitted. So, if one needs to sell, prudently use "limit" orders.
