With the USS Enterprise almost in position in the area, I would not rule out be some sort of "attack" (false flag) against it. Last patrol, symbol of american power, blah blah. Three of the four active carriers in the US Navy are going to be in position off Iran in three days. Makes one wonder what the US would do if China starts sabre rattling in the Taiwan Straits? Or the Russians with their newly elected President decide to do some military exercises off the Eastern Med. The US is playing a dangerous game of chess with some pretty good chess players.
