So what happens to TSX listed shares now?

Nothing happens to the shares - they still trade on the TSX. They are just not included in one of the TSX indexes of companies that determines the performance of that market on a given day.

An analolgy would be that there are hundreds of industrial shares that trade on the NYSE, but only 30 of these are listed on the index - the DJII.
