Had you made that statement over 2-3 months ago I would tend to agree with you.

Unfortunately, things have changed. Now it's all Euro, If Italy or any other PIIGS country sneezes on Sunday night, all commodities and equities tank while the US$ perks up on Monday. On the other hand if there's talk of a bailout or any kind of short term band-aid relief, the contrary happens.
