I did not mean to try and belittle the mess that the U.S. is in.

I was just pointing out that Europe is no better off and will probably "come to a head" first, BECAUSE of the stand being taken by Germany, Finland etc.

I agree that at least there are some (states) within the "Union?" that are offside and unlike the U.S., are prepared to take a stand.

As you point out, these "squeaky wheels get the grease" from the media unlike those in the U.S. who sit on their hands, do little, and act no better than slaves to Washington.

Edgy, I think we "are on the same page" and frustrated because, at least speaking for myself, I have seen this coming, both in the U.S. and Europe for at least ten years, and feel useless because there is nothing I can do about it, save making my feelings known.
