the Junior PM shares I own in the UK, are only part the way through a move up at this point, so, a tiny short term consolidation yes, but that seems to be about it. Also I'm looking at the likes of GPR which hasn't yet broken out, but is due to, following this current last tiny consolidation wave.
The miners have only just starting producing results based on gold at £1500 on average, while many are now selling over $1800, there's quite an alteration in earnings to allow for. Also if these companies decide to increase production at the same time, the sector is generally due a move up owing to improving fundamentals. Something with improving fundamentals is a better investment than not (general market). Even in a major correction in the general markets though, individual stocks which have good stories with improving fundamentals will rise. Been there, worn the T shirt etc
