I think the market reaction could have been far worse on the latest financials in terms of focus on reduced recovery rates. The good news is a larger mass of buyers prevailed at the end of the day knowing full well ECU's RRs were reduced due to an unexpected Cyanidic force majeure "light", a factor that also hit a number of companies industry wide due to temporary shortages. These circumstances were beyond everyone's control including ECU, but production persisted regardless. Better to earn a reduced profit then none at all. Last week I happenned to be listening to BNN when I heard this topic discussed about another Producer. If memory serves me well, the key producer of cyanide (Dupont?) has addressed the supply problem and is quickly restoring to full production capability. Onwards and upwards to the countdown as shorty is forced to cover... 15-20 MM shares?
