This may seem obvious to everybody here, but after reading and listening to a lot of stuff this past weekend catching up after my holiday, I think I get how this is going to play out. The big money is in bonds right? Seeking liquidity and low risk to preserve capital. And what's happening now in simplistic terms is that this money is for the most part sloshing back and forth between various bonds, sovereign, corporate, etc., seeking in my opinion as low a risk as possible. Now with inflation starting to heat up, many of these debt instruments are actually running a negative real rate of return. So what will make the precious metals rocket is the movement of this big money out of bonds and into metals and metal equities, because the central banks of the world are actually doing our job, keeping real rates of return negative. Where else can it go? It is starting to dawn on the main stream that this is the only way out. That's why after the US debt downgrade gold rocketed. As more and more of this big money moves into this sector, nothing will be able to stop the momentum.
