Regardless of the daily suppression in paper silver prices, physical silver sales are still astronomical.

US Mint Sales: Silver Coins Lead Mint Products
Coin News
June 16, 2011
Collectors returned to buying coins in larger quantities last week — especially silver coins. The latest US Mint sales figures pegged 61 numismatic products as having outperformed their previous weekly gains. That compares to 21 products from the prior report and 17 from the time before that.
Sales of silver coins have been supported by fluctuating silver prices and the newly released Yosemite National Park 5 Oz Silver Uncirculated Coin, which debuted with brisk numbers.
Silver coins held three of the top five best seller spots:
- American Silver Eagle bullion coin (+865,000 to 20,583,500)
- Yosemite 5 Oz Silver Uncirculated Coin (+20,511)
- 2011 Proof Set (+11,400 to 748,275)
- 2011 Silver Proof Set (+5,335 to 417,119)
- 2011 Mint Set (+4,986 to 389,290)
