The hockey hooligans have almost destroyed downtown Vancouver!

This is disgraceful and an indication of the destructive culture that surrounds this "sport."

I think it would have happened no matter who won.

It will certainly give this burg a huge black eye and deservedly so as the city, under the clownish leftist "mayor" Robertson, was totally unprepared to deal with it. Yet another measure of his repeatedly demonstrated incompetence.

Why is it you never see this disgraceful sort of thing in professional basketball? Why do the professional basketball players not purposely try to consistently hurt and maim each other (although occsasionally there are "hard fouls" and flagrant fouls) as in hockey? The Mavericks just won the NBA Championship and neither Miami nor Dallas was pillaged.

It is time professional hockey was seen for what it is: a blood sport which draws the baser elements of society, as in Roman times. A sad commentary on the moral integrity of the populace and a harbinger of things to come.
