I have long thought that the day would arrive when someone would try to "corner" the market. I bought my first silver maples 8 or 9 years ago thinking that it was almost inevitable.

When U think about the Hunt's attempt in 1979-80, they had to have rocks in their heads as the powers against them had billions of ounces in Ft Knox, to sell into the rise...

Now, however, with that huge store of silver depleted into bomb dust and mirrors (literally), almost anyone can be accused of "cornering the market", for when demand is larger than supply, it only takes one person to buy the last ounce of silver...not a cartel or a conspiracy. What will happen then is anyone's guess, but my thought is pandamonium!

1. When "The Bears" spread the word on the internet that the "last ounce" of silver has been bought...the sheeple will be buying in force.

2. Manufacturers will up their buying attempts at any higher price to warehouse the metal.

3. All offers will be snapped up immediately by hungry investors that didn't exist yesterday.

4. Miners will hold back supply to hold metal instead of paper "in the bank" in order to sell at higher prices.

5. The shorts will need to cover at any price to avoid bankrupcy and/or jail time.

6. Major governments will need silver supply to warehouse military futures. None exist. They will likely takeover mine production at some point, ensuring even lower supply.

7. Frenzy will ensue...much like the tulip craze in Holland.

8. A silver spike will rise up far above the $500 price reasonably assumed to be one tenth of reasonable hyper-inflation gold price of $5,000...$1000, $2000, $5000, $10000. No price is too high to imagine in a worldwide silver frenzy.

This price will be a bubble...

Be very careful people, when the silver price gets over $5000/ounce! (Ha!)
