Taxes for 2010 were due Monday. I personally owed $14,000 for 2010 which was on top of the $35,000 I sent for my quarterlies last year. Also due today was the Q1 2011 estimated tax. I owed another $12,000 for this. I was able to cover my shortage for 2010 and pay part of the Q1 for 2011. Point is there was alot of money changing hands Monday. People probably pulled money out of money markets, Cd's and brokerage accounts. Stocks had to be liquidated. Could be why the DOW dropped over 100 points for the first time in a while.

What do I get for the $50,000 in taxes I paid last year for fed and state plus the $5000 property tax and another couple thousand for sales tax? They used to take out the gabage twice a week but cut back to once a week. I have potholes all over my streets. I am funding the FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security etc so they can play with their toys. GE made $5 billion last year and paid zero taxes. Sorry for the rant, I am just teed off about working 60 hours a week so I can send these guys money and get nothing in return.
