I added a few more shares today @ 97 cents and now have brought my avg cost down to below a buck for my trading position. I am of the opinion that no amount of manipulation or seasonal weakness will suffice to hold ECU down if the company is able to report strong exploration news in the next few weeks. I think the downside here remains very low, but the upside potential is very high. To me its an easy choice to accumulate and just wait to see how the stock performs in the next few weeks.

The issue of outstanding shorts is relevant. I have to believe that there will be an impulse to cover shorts this spring for the same reasons that many longs decide to cash out ahead of the summer doldrums. Who wants to hang around and babysit stock positions that can easily go sour very quickly? The short covering may offset any spring selling by longs.
