Message: The Cat and the Mouse

It's interesting to watch how the shorts seem to be playing with ECU as well as how they do it, like a cat with a mouse. Let the mouse get loose a little then give it another whack and paw it back in. What I can't quite understand is why they're doing it.

Is there more to it than that? Is there something relating to the COMEX ensnaring ECU? JPMorgan? Blyth? Is ECU in some sort of dicey position that we've overlooked? Just seems to me to be more than an algorithm at work. Too many times the silvers go up while ECU goes down or just goes to sleep.

There's obviously a risk, seems to me, that some big fund(s) will take the shorts on and goose ECU to the point the shorts have to give up. Why are they risking this for what seems to be pennies when other opportunities for bucks are out there?

Are the shorts really making any money continuing with this strategy on and on and on, if that's what it is? Seems to me there's a lot more money to be made on the long side, especially with the silvers and especially in a hurry. The money I've raised lightening up my position with ECU and a few others and investing in other silvers elsewhere has tripled in some cases and quadrupled and more in others. I'm even catching up to coach. Sort of.

Don't the ECU shorts see this? Why do they persist in mugging ECU? As I understand it there are funds out there sitting on millions of shares of ECU apparently watching this as well as me. Helpless, hopeless, clueless, dumbfounded? I guess they're waiting for the mouse to grow up and bite the cat in the arse or whatever. Beats me. But I'm still watching and waiting too.
