The smackdowns have been shorter and less violent each month and that is something to consider. Congrats on a brilliant trade with your GPR Pic! I only sold a small chunk yesterday and I already have my bids in to replace the shares I sold. The way the day is going it may even fill today. I suspect by Friday afternoon we are back off to the races for the sector but it will not be much of an issue if things drift sideways a bit longer before the resumption of the uptrend. True, in a bull market the metals can remain overbought for a long time but then the inevitable correction is just that much nastier. I am much happier riding these short bursts and then putting up with the crooks doing their thing along the way.
Those of us who were active in this sector in 2003 have seen the volatility at extremes many times, and what we have put up with lately is relatively benign by comparison. I wonder how it is for the guys that just started buying into the metals and mining stocks. Perhaps there is some anxiety watching the market action.
If ECU dips below 10 cents again I will jump all over it.
cheers!
