I was reading somewhere this weekend that the short held by the four commercials was reduced and the short held by another catagory (I don't remember which at the moment) was increased substantially. Seems obvious that JPM cut some kind of deal with other traders to flip some of their shorts on someone else. That's why the market didn't explode in a squeeze and also explains how JPM could announce their short was "materially reduced"
