I assume that the Gov't has ordered a takedown of G&S ahead of FOMC meeting tomorrow. After all we can't have any signs of inflation on announcement of more quantitative easing.

However Europe is looking like a disaster with Germany refusing to bail out Portugal and Spain. So the safe haven play is in the mix today with gold looking much better than the US dollar. It will be an interesting battle but with the government funding JPMorgan with unlimited amounts of money to short G&S - the cartel might prevail for a few days or maybe the forces of good will dominate the evil empire.
