That's a big surprise to me. Last I heard we had virtually no gold in our vaults.

Where did 3125 tons come from? I wonder if that is what is contracted in the pipeline for the Canadian Mint....or is it "deep storage" gold...located in the proven reserves of Canadian Gold miners/explorers? I wonder how/if Barrick is in the neighbourhood?

Then I have another question. Is this gold swapped to the US? Or is this gold unaudited gold in the vaults of the banks?...like Scotia Mocatta...who keep their gold in New York? Oh, yeah, it's there but you can't see it.
