If Republicans take more seats in the House than expected, or somehow capture the Senate, that would be an opportunity for shorts to hit the gold price. If Dems do better than expected, the thought is spending will continue to increase. My view is that spending is likely to continue to race forward, irrespective of what happens at the polls tomorrow.

The QE2 stuff will be announced Wednesday, I think. Tomorrow will be strictly politics.
